Mixed-medium embroidery pieces celebrating the sacredness of disabled, trans, and queer folks
This is a for the joy of it art project I started to uplift the sacredness of living and loving as a disabled person, a trans person, or a queer person when bigots and conservatives are routinely threatening and rolling back our human rights. I wrote a whole thing about the inspiration behind this series, which you can read on my blog.
As of January 2023, I am actively seeking other artists to collaborate with on this project. Scroll down to learn more about becoming a collaborator.
Collaborations: Trans Love is Sacred: Mushroom people design featuring artwork by Prairie Fruit Arts Trans Love is Sacred: T4T Heart on a Chain featuring artwork by Steel Transplants Disabled Lives are Sacred: Earthy Woman Design featuring artwork by Marie Bouassi Disabled Lives are Sacred: Figure with a Cane featuring artwork by Crosstitues Queer Love is Sacred: Twisted Trees featuring artwork by Aaron El Sabrout Disabled Love is Sacred: Disabled Cuties featuring artwork byOgrefairy
As a collaborator, all I require from you is a piece of digital line art that can be turned into an embroidery piece. This can be an original image or it can be an image you have already created. Whatever image you choose simply needs to fit with any one of the following slogans: Trans Love is Sacred, Trans Lives are Sacred, Disabled Love is Sacred, Disabled Lives are Sacred, Queer Love is Sacred, or Queer Lives are Sacred.
When I complete a piece that features another artist's work, I send it back to them as a gift.
If you have a piece of line art or would like to create some line art that would work for this project, please get in touch via email: Hello "at" KSCHatch.com
