The Devil can have many representations and meanings depending on the layout used. Generally it is associated with a complete lack of balance. The spiderweb represents lies and the chain represents the ways in which we hold ourselves back or restrict our views to a limited distance. It can also represent reckless behaviour and harmful acts. It is chaos and destruction, either to ourselves or to those around us. It is bigotry, close mindedness and oppression. It is also a call to action, to address how we cause our own suffering with bad behaviour and ill-thought actions.
